Amar Laila is a post-doctoral fellow with the EAT-Lancet 2.0 Commission working on food system justice and transforming food systems into just and sustainable ones. His current position is a joint post-doctoral fellowship with the Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University. Amar did his PhD in Applied Human Nutrition at the University of Guelph, where he explored the interplay between food literacy and food waste in Canadian families with young children.
Taking a justice and food systems approach, Amar's research interests are in exploring influencers of sustainable eating behaviours and how to effect positive change in eating behaviour using interventions and policies.
